JOB DESCRIPTION :

To Manage Peregrine Application activities based at Offshore Bangalore
The role of the Senior Software Engineer is to read and understand software requirements and to design and develop software solutions based on those requirements. The Senior Software Engineer position is an engineering position, requiring an individual with an extensive technical background in software development tools and techniques, as well as strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills
ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform application enhancements and extensions
Application production management to ensure compliance with pre-defined SLAs
Patch release management
Causal analysis report for production related Issues
Documentation of application level changes
Application tuning for enhanced performance
Data management including directed cleanup and data changes
Development of utilities
Occasionally support and maintain production programs and data feeds outside normal business hours
Occasionally travel (domestic and internationally) to other Thomson facilities on project business
Support of the report and queries pre-configured in the application
% OF WORK THAT IS DEVELOPMENT VS. MAINTENANCE:
70% Development; 30% Maintenance
