Job Description: This position will be accountable for managing all tactical, operational activities for the product platform(s) assigned. The position will be a global staff responsible for the successful delivery of Global IP Services products/services within established service levels for
assigned product suite. This position works closely with the IP Services Leadership Team to provide local operational management of staff located in a Global Center of Excellence.
Responsibilities: Manage all tactical functions related to the delivery of assigned services; these services may include but not limited to soft changes for Firewall, DNS/DHCP, Proxy/PAC, SOCKS, Switch and Load Balancers. Establish and manage continuous improvement and self audit programs that improve quality, efficiency, and standards compliance. Complete performance assessment for assigned Engineers as well as coach, mentor, and assist with them with training, and development opportunities that supports mobility and succession goals. Assist with scheduling, maintaining, and forecasting of resource requirements for supported services. Participate in the development and continuous improvement of Global IP Services Policies, Processes, and Procedures. First management level escalation point for assigned services.
Identifies opportunities for cost savings and service improvements. Support the vision, mission, and objectives of the Global IP Services Team.
5+ Years of experience managing Problem, Incident, or Release Management functions in a large, global enterprise data network environment
College Degree / Technical Diploma - Required
Certifications - Minimum of one technical certification desired in one of the following areas: Cisco, Network A+, Security, UNIX.
