Job Details:

The Networking Switch S/W FAE is responsible for field technical support of all Networking Switch products. Assist customers in their technical evaluation of the Broadcom products under consideration and give technical presentations as required. Assist customers implementation of Broadcom supplied development tools, drivers and application software at the customer site as needed. Understand the products thoroughly in order to answer customer s questions by providing timely and accurate information. Work with Sales Account Manager to increase demand for Broadcom Networking Switch products pertaining to software applications. Understand the customers application in order to identify key technology and product features for next generation products. Work closely with other FAE associated within given regional or multi-regional customer projects.
Percent of Travel Required: 10 - 25%
Job Requirements -
good experience in embedded software design, development and testing.
Experience in Customer Support role is a must.
BSEE or Equivalent degree required.
Technical Experience Requirements:
- Working knowledge in network switch / router, L2/L3 S/W Stack
- In-depth understanding of networking and routing protocols
- Device drivers: Testing and debug level Experience
- OS: Linux, VxWorks; Strong coding / debug experience in C, C++ and scripting languages
- MIPS programming experience is a PLUS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player, independent, self-starter, adaptable to rapidly changing market requirements, with prioritization skills.
