SnapVault is NetApps disk to disk Backup product and is critical for NetApp s success in this important market. It helps drive the growth of NetApps secondary storage sales. In the direction of enhancing the value of the product we are working to provide additional feature support as well as improved performance. The incumbent will be leading a highly motivated team to deliver this solution with full engineering ownership at Bangalore. You also would require to work with Product management and NetApp global Service function to define the product roadmaps.
As a Manager of Software Engineering you provide direct supervision to professional level Engineers within the function. You direct activities of Engineers focused on development, enhancement, testing and debugging of SnapVault code that is to be built as the solution integrated to OnTap operating systems that run NetApp storage applications. These committed teams develop enhancements to existing products, as well as develop new products. As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market.
