Job Description:
# To provide 3nd level Storage Management services, support and product support for client AMS 1000 using HiCommand Suite.
# Analyse and resolve or escalate problems. Ensure integrity of supported environment.
# Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks. Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software.
# Work with change and problem management tools. Provide hardware /software fault detection and vendor liaison. Liaise with customer accounts as required. Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability.
# Perform configuration on AMS 1000 storage platform. Have a good understanding of storage protocols like FC, IP & iSCSI. Add disks as needed to existing systems.
# Allocate shares/storage to new servers as desired. Maintain reports on disk utilization, availability and growth patterns.# Has applied knowledge in the Administration of Unix and Windows in large commercial environments.
# Has applied knowledge of DAS, NAS, SAN. Good knowledge of McData Fibre Channel Switches & Brocade Swiitches
3 to 7 years of relevant experince
