Tier II Linux openings with a MNC in Bangalore.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Solve customer issues through e-mail correspondence or by phone as needed
Train, explain tasks and assist customers in solution of their issues
Responsible for client retention and support requests, ensuring that support requests are answered in a timely and professional manner
Work on emergency rotation during the week to address any emergency issues that are sent into the emergency pager by our clients
May be required on occasion to work a floating schedule which may include weekends and holidays to provide 24/7 support coverage
Participate in pro active team effort to achieve department and company goals and objectives
Prioritize, organize, and work on tasks that may need completed throughout the department
Issues reports on support requests and problems on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as needed
Communicates and works closely with other team members in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
Keep track of requests for new products, research them and pass the information along to the correct department
Assist Technical Support Manager in assessing the training needs within the department and setting goals for training programs
Continue to expand your knowledge base by gaining a working knowledge of products/services and similar data
Responsibility and dependability are a must. Ability to satisfy the expectations and requirements of all customers.
