Job Title: Product Engineer - Platform Development Team
Location: India - Bangalore
Job Type: Product Development, Engineering
Experiance :4 - 7 Years
Responsibilities:
Will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of software components.
Specific projects might include implementing new features at customer request, rewriting problem areas of existing code, resolving defects in existing code, developing object model, application logic and graphical interface to support new business process.
Work with Product Manangement to gather requirements, write functional specifications, and subsequently design, code, test and implement the software.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelors degree in computer science with 4+ years of experience
Hands on with solid command of OOD principles / design patterns
Extremely competent in Java
Three year experience working in a commercial product development evironment , shared services background preferred.
Very strong design/architectural skills
Experience in designing and delivering products, from conception to delivery
Ability to quickly grasp and relate product concepts and strong analytical skills
Follows good coding standards
Experience interfacing with customers and technical support
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with XML parsers
Experience in atleast one middle ware messaging technology like MQ or Tibco
Strong Database experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, schema design, query optimization, migration
Expertise working on atleast one Appserver like Tomcat , Weblogic and Websphere
Good understanding and knowledge on Security concepts like XMLSignature , keystore management, Certificate management and SSL
Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Hands on experience with Unix and and Perl
Experience in developing user interface code (JSP, Struts, Servlets, HTML, Tomcat, HTTP)
Experience with JGROUPS is highly desirable
