Experience Required(Description) : He/She should have Oracle Certified DBA Professional certification is an advantage for Oracle DBAs,should have strong experience supporting mission critical relational databases,should have considerable experience and knowledge of Oracle 10g and best practices ,should have exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills,should have excellent learning abilities and have the ability to use various resources to research issues,should have mid level skills in scripting and automating repetitive administrative tasks,should have good understanding of physical and logical standby high availability Oracle technologies,should have experience in defining/analyzing ERDs, data models, and physical database designs,should have SQL Server Administration (high level) is an advantage for SQL Server DBAs.
Roles & Responsiblities :
He/She should be responsible for providing day-to-day support and maintenance for key Oracle databases and services of our enterprise application platform,should be responsible for investigating potential problems and issues raised by business users; this includes being on a on-call rotation and carrying a pager as needed,should monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance,should work with the team to automate reactive procedures where possible, and to promote rapid response to known issues,should work with other teams to promote changes to production and other environments,should be accountable for maintaining database configurations in compliance with established best practices,Oversee data fixes for business issues or to address application issues,should develop and maintain an in depth understanding of the database architecture and the general application functionality used to maintain data integrity,should have exposure on working with OEM Grid,should have exposure on working with Oracle Standby database.
