Is responsible for
Being a part of the Product Engineering team and taking part in the development work effort for the product development of new generation products (J2EE platform) in the education vertical including a Campus ERP Solution and web portal for the education fraternity, reporting into the Development Lead
Helping in the evaluation of Development Frameworks / Tools as per the directions of the Development Lead and /or Engineering Manager
Understanding J2EE best practices and design / coding standards and ensuring these are being adhered to
Participating in product development activities including Tools setup, Low Level design, Coding, Unit Testing, Code reviews and walkthroughs, Defect fixing and Packaging
Translating the High Level design into Low Level design and Code, Providing inputs to estimations
Handling test defects and bug fixing as a result of Unit / System / Regression tests
Reporting periodic status to the Development Lead and / or Engineering Manager
Ensuring PLM project processes are being followed and up to-date project documentation is maintained on an ongoing basis
Participating in assigned training, continuous self study and ensuring technical skills are relevant to the needs of the product.
