Job Details:
At least 5 years experience working as a technical writer or equivalent experience.
Ability to work with telecommunication engineers and highly technical design documents to develop a detailed understanding of the products.
Ability to write accurate and clear English descriptions of the operation and provisioning of complex telecommunications systems.
Ability to be highly productive in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
Ability to adapt to changing Technical Publications priorities.
Ability to coordinate Bangalore documentation efforts with engineers, and writers based in the US.
Experienced with tools associated with technical publications including Adobe Framemaker and Acrobat as well as basic Microsoft PC desktop applications including drawing tools (e.g. Visio).
Desired Candidate Profile
Knowledge of telecommunications systems including telephony, IP packet telephony (VoIP), data networking, the Internet, network security, SS7, SIP, H.323, TCP/IP, wireless/mobile technologies, and network-based applications.. Additional technical publishing tools including JASC Paint Shop Pro and RoboHelp. XML experience a plus.
