Job Details:
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for driving development of firmware used in our server and Power Vault Storage enclosure products.
Duties include managing all activities necessary to take a product from concept to production including, system architecture definition, design, prototyping, debug validation, and factory support.
Developing technical specifications, evaluating prototypes, making recommendations, defining program scope, developing detailed project schedules, driving design reviews and developing test strategies are some of key activities.
Experience in developing Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) firmware or Backplane firmware or storage enclosure firmware is a plus.
Skills Required:
Strong firmware development background with strong C/C++ development/debug skills
Proficient in software development tools such as IDEs, compilers, source control system, defect tracking systems and test case management systems.
Excellent communication skills and teaming skills
Solid understanding of one or more of the following management protocols: I2C, IPMI, USB, SNMP, SCSI/SES and SMASH
Experience with storage enclosures or server platforms is a plus
